DockSense Alert™ is Raymarine’s intelligent docking technology that enhances captains’ awareness of immediate surroundings while maneuvering the vessel in confined spaces.

Thanks to 3D stereo vision cameras, combined with advanced motion sensors and a highly accurate GPS, DockSense™ helps to be fully aware of the maneuvering area, preventing awkward situations and dangerous collisions.

This innovative system is the first assisted mooring solution for the yachting world that can identify the surrounding objects and their distance from the boat.

It is well known that mooring a boat can be a stressful experience even for the most experienced captains. Sometimes, confined spaces and blind spots make the task more difficult than expected, and potential accidents can lead to high repair costs. Raymarine DockSense Alert™ offers the captain additional safety in hard conditions, on any dock or place. 

DockSense™ uses a FLIR 3D stereo camera system to analyze real-world images and identifies potentially dangerous objects. When approaching an external object, the system delivers audible and visual alerts, intelligently informing the captain with alarms that progressively intensify. Thanks to the Virtual Bumper™, it is possible to set a preferred safety distance, from 0 to 30 feet.

The system thoroughly estimates the distance from the pier, pillars, and other moored boats, providing an informative map that shows the distance to objects around the vessel. Live camera feeds provide additional real-time information, eliminating blind spots and allowing the captain to see what is happening during mooring operations.
